Cookies we use
Strictly necessary items (auth, security, theme, and your saved cookie choices) don't require consent. For analytics we use Google Analytics 4, PostHog, and Ahrefs - all cookieless by default. Their scripts load on every visit, but no cookies or stored identifiers are set until you opt in; before then they only measure aggregate traffic without identifying you.
Third-party cookies
Google Analytics 4 and PostHog run cookielessly until you consent (GA4 sends anonymised pings, PostHog counts visitors via a server-side hash); both set cookies/identifiers only after you grant consent. Ahrefs is fully cookieless and never sets cookies. Stripe may set fraud-prevention cookies on billing pages. No ad or social tracking cookies from DiffHook.
Managing your preferences
Use the cookie banner on first visit or the Cookie preferences link in the footer to change your choices at any time. Withdrawing consent immediately switches analytics back to cookieless mode and deletes any analytics cookies or identifiers already set.
Consent
No analytics cookies or browser-stored identifiers are set, and you are not identified individually, before you grant consent. The cookieless measurement performed beforehand does not identify you. Consent is versioned - material changes will prompt a fresh consent request.
